Scared To Make A Profit
Are scared to make a profit? Profit is the most misunderstood word in both the business world and I dare say…among the religious people of today.
Religious junk out there take scriptures like,
1 Timothy 6:6 (NIV)
But godliness with contentment is great gain.
Matthew 19:23 (NIV)
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
…and they say things like, “Be happy with what you have.” “You’re a pastor and you’re not supposed to have anything.”
Let me tell you right now…THAT’S A LIE, straight from the devil to keep God’s people from prospering and enjoying the abundant life that God want’s you to live!
My Jesus said,
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10 (NKJV)
Make a Profit
God wants you to make a profit and enjoy life more abundantly!
Let me tell you, Satan doesn’t want you to make a profit, unless he can convince you to be greedy and horde everything to yourself!
The question you need to ask yourself is, “Why do I want to make a profit and have great wealth?”
If your answer is something like…
- Have a big house with a big pool
- Vacation house in the Caribbean
- Have 2 or 3 muscle cars and a great big hummer
- Have a big boat
- Have, have, and have some more….ah, haha I will rule the world!
Well, maybe your why is not what it should be!
Now if your answer is something like…
- Get debt free
- Have time freedom
- Financial freedom
- Enjoy a big welcoming home
- Have new and dependable transportation
- Help my family
- Be able to employ people,
- Help the poor
- Help my church & help others.
Now…your heart is in the right place!
Make a profit, it’s a great thing!
You should never be scared to make a profit or be ashamed to have great wealth…if your motives for making a profit are right.
Think about it like this. As a parent, would you ever desire for your child to barely get by? If your child had only one set of clothes, would you say, be happy that you have clothes?
I don’t think so, I think you would do anything you can to get your child more than enough clothes. If your child was dating some guy whom you didn’t approve of and who was too lazy to work, didn’t keep himself clean and respectable…would you say…”Be glad you have a boyfriend” ?
NO!
Doesn’t this make sense? Sure…and God is the same way. He desires for you to enjoy this life and enjoy it to the fullest.
While it is true that we should be content, we should never be satisfied. We should desire to always improve ourselves, always enjoy life more and have more…(with the right attitude).
To have more…means you can help more!
Make a profit, what does God say about money.
