Identify Opportunities To Be A Biblical Entrepreneur
Click on this link to view in full screen “Identify Opportunities”
A huge part in becoming prosperous is to identify opportunities! If you’re not careful…the wrong opportunity could lead you down a path toward destruction and bankruptcy.
It’s important to understand that God wants you to be prosperous, but biblical entrepreneurship is doing something that is in His Will for your life. Sure you can make money selling drugs or putting up a Daiquiri Hut next to your house…but is that something that is going to help people? Are you really supplying a need or solving a problem.
Identify Opportunities With God
When you are seeking God…He will help you identify opportunities that will become prosperous because you are solving a problem or supplying a need. You will identify opportunities that are encountered by the people in your church, community or nation.
When you solve that problem, exercising godly business stewardship, then you can’t help but make a profit!
But the key thing and the most important thing…
- …your sole motivation for going into business, should not be to generate a profit!
- …your primary focus should be to serve people through your products and services!
When you do that…you can’t help but make a profit!
We should go back to the beginning of time. Look at what God said in Genesis 1:27-28.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” Genesis 1:27-28 (NIV)
Here we see that God created the earth and then gave it to us. It was here…that He gave us dominion over it. He wanted us to be good stewards over His creation!
Identify Opportunities…God’s not out of good ideas.
God has a plan for you and it is way better than anything you can imagine! God wants you to prosper so that…you can enjoy the abundant life He has in store for you. But He doesn’t want you to keep it all to yourself. He wants you to help others to enjoy the abundant life as well.
Understand, in Biblical Entrepreneurship, profit is the fruit, the reward, not the goal of good stewardship.
When you identify opportunities, exercise godly business stewardship, then you profit both spiritually and financially because profit is the result of good stewardship and obedience to God’s Word.
